Total waterborne cargo and passenger transport at Chiang Sean Commercial Port
The port is about 10 km south of the current Chiang Saen port, with a total area of 640,000 m 2. The port has 2 300 m long 2-story sloping berths (30% slope)
for loading and unloading general cargo and a 200 m vertical berth for general cargo and containers. To load and unload goods, the port is equipped with a 10-ton
mobile crane, a 10-ton forklift, and a 3.5-ton forklift, all of which are in good condition.
Chiang Saen Commercial Port has applied a one-stop service system at the port office building including Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong Port Office, Marine Office
of Chiang Rai Branch, Chiang Saen Customs House, Control Station Food and pharmaceuticals Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong, International Health Control Office,
Chiang Saen Immigration Control Station, Chiang Saen Plant Quarantine Station, Chiang Rai Animal Quarantine Station, and Aquatic Inspection Office product of Chiang Rai province.
